Multimedia broadcasting refers to a host of conjoined, next-generation media services that maximize each particular medium's distinctive traits whether "broadcast" or "telecommunication" services. The following are some of the major services being realized through multimedia broadcasting. Note that internet connections, too, also further expand the possibilities. Classifying the new challenges of the multimedia broadcast framework into "how receivers should look" and "what the shape of content delivery should be," we are creating test cases and test viewpoint lists extracted from each single or combined functionality.
In conjunction with this, we are singling out differences with conventional ISDB-T and conducting research into transmission patterns that will enable us to create TS for either real-time or storage type broadcasting.
We are also pushing ahead with development to enable creation of specialized and customized TS that address different maker specifications and test worthy functions. We create and own specialized TS developed from our own vantage point outside of Dpa, and as a result, have been fielding many orders for receiver assessment.
We retain and operate various TS creation and delivery equipment. We create test cases and TS to confirm time elapsed switching to different visual formats or viewer age restrictions.
In addition to creating ABNT compliant data, we are expanding TS and test cases to respond to future needs such as TS creation for changes that occur in general event scheduling in Japan.
Multimedia Broadcasting under ISDB-Tmm Format in Japan
Since then, many countries have adopted ISDB over other digital broadcasting standards. The concept was named for its similarity to ISDN as both allow multiple channels of data to be transmitted together a process called multiplexing.
